Author, actor, and even activist is dead at the age of 96 years old.
Studs was born in New York City in the year 1912. His real name is Louis Terkel. His career started in broadcast radio in Chicago. He was also a Pulitzer Prize winning author in 1985 called “The Good War”.
He loved the “working class” person and loved to do interviews with them. He was said to walk around talking into a tape recorder. He was an historian, and storyteller. He identified with the common man. He was low key voice and soft humor who was a Chicago iconĀ who had a long life and lived it to his fullest. He shall be missed by all.
