I was just wondering Drew Peterson, how it feels to be defeated at every turn? It must feel pretty bad, right? On Friday Judge Stephen White heard the motions put forth by one of Peterson’s attorneys Andrew Abood, and denied them both!
The former Sgt. in the Bolingbrook Police Force has been charged with first-degree murder and is awaiting the start of a trial in the Joliet prison system. Judge Stephen White did uphold the fact that it is constitutional for Stacy Peterson’s words to family, friends, and to a pastor to be admitted into the trial. Stacy Peterson is Drew Peterson’s fourth wife and is currently missing. The judge further went on to deny the motion that was also brought to say the Drew Peterson could not get a fair and impartial trial in the city of Joliet and the county of Will. The judge felt that there was no reason why he could not get a fair trial in the county/and city. In fact some time ago the judge took approx. 240 potential jurors and put forth official court orders for these people to not view or listen to any reports that involved Drew Peterson or the Drew Peterson case.
Mr. Joel Brodsky, Peterson’s other attorney feels a bit disappointed as he says a lawyer cannot defend against the hearsay rule. He further explained that a lwayer cannot refute, or rebut the words nor can he cross-examine the words for motive or bias.
I am pretty sure that in this case, the hearsay rules will help to solidify all of the evidence. Remember that Mr. Peterson is in jail for murder on former wife Kathleen Savio in 2004. There is considerable evidence that points to Mr. Peterson being the perpetrator in that death. And further that he has much to do with the disappearance of fourth wife Stacy. A sort of “pre-trial” will take place to prove there is enough evidence to prove the hearsay is reliable and that he is the only suspect in these two crimes.
It’s only a matter of time now.

It was expected that Judge Gerald Kinney would appoint a new judge in the Drew Peterson case. The case will now be heard by Judge Carla Alessio Policandriotes. Interestingly enough, she has had some dealings with Peterson/Savio in the past! She had handled just a small bit of their 2002 divorce. She had awarded Kathleen Savio with temporary custody of their children and set up child support.
While no other financial matters had ever then been resolved any further than that before the death of Kathleen Savio, and now Drew Peterson has been charged with murder 1 in his ex-wives case. He has plead not guilty.
While Joel Brodsky stated before cameras yesterday, that there could be worse judge choices for Drew. So it looks like Brodsky will not be protesting this decision. It is in this writer’s eye, that it appears that this judge may have a great understanding of the plight of women who are victims of domestic violence. This court has a great long history of the family values it needs to have to represent not only the law and the rights; moral and ethical, of those people involved in the case. Its family court rises to that level each day. Joliet and Will County, IL should be quite proud of the fact that the county can for-see what the needs of a family unit are, what types of food, education, and cost of living for example are needed to provide for the best interests of that family unit. In other words it shows that the court takes a great stance for the advocating of its public.
I think that in this area, domestic violence has reared its head way too much and that Drew Peterson’s days may be numbered at this point.
Today, Judge Policandriotes will also consider the defense’s motion to have Peterson’s $20 Million dollar bail reduced. Will continue to report on the happenings in this case. Updates posted as soon as they come in.

Yesterday Drew Peterson and his lawyer Joel Brodsky and team appeared before the judge. Judge Richard Schoenstedt, who among weird other things; assigned himself to the case, heard Drew Peterson file a plea of not guilty.
As was reported by several in the media, Peterson sat sullen and there were no smiles or jokes in the courtroom. Brodsky told several TV networks the other day that Peterson’s joking is not helping his appearance before others and stated that he has asked his client to stop joking before the media.
This was no surprise that Peterson was going to plead that he is not guilty. What however, was a surprise turn was that Will County State’s Atty. James Glasgow filed a motion to replace the judge. This is the very judge that has already shown a favor to Peterson by returning his guns to him. The filing was on the grounds that the judge has “prejudice” against the prosecution. The prosecution team feels that after their particular refusal to turn over “notes of discovery” (which are actually little notes and memos that the lawyers write down as they investigate a case for themselves), which no one ever turns over to the court, in the ”gun” aspect of Drew Peterson’s case. Once they did not turn over internal notes Judge Schoenstedt ruled in favor of Peterson.
The second issue at hand was the bail. Brodsky and team want the bail lowered down to $100,000. and $500,000. This will all be revisited on Thursday. The issues will be heard by new Judge Gerald Kinney.
Finally the family for Kathleen Savio that were present, feel some tiny bit of vindication after five years of waiting for the justice for Kathleen. Seeing him in the courtroom, dressed in jail clothing, and standing quietly without having nary a word muttered must have made them feel that perhaps soon they see Peterson where they feel he should be for life; in prison.!

Reports all over the media yesterday and this morning, lead me to believe that Drew Peterson was trapped like a rabid animal. In a corner and stuck with no where to go. Except to act like an adult human being; but in Peterson’s mind it felt like it was a loss to him. It was all about Peterson and what he felt he had to loose! What am I talking about? The divorce that was final between Kathleen Savio and Drew Peterson all except the final two large puzzle pieces: the kids and the money!
Following the trail of money is an important part of the possible motive behind Peterson’s actions. Whatever the sale of their home, his bar/tavern that he owned in Montgomery IL, and half of the police pension would’ve generated, a possible hundreds of thousands of dollars. And along with this Savio was also asking for the sole custody of their two children together. These appear to be the requests that Ms Savio was requesting when her then lawyer, Harry Smith was writing up the papers. Six days later Kathleen Savio was dead!
Peterson’s lawyer was preparing papers for a supoena about Peterson’s deposition in the ugly divorce case. During an interview, Peterson admitted that while during separtion from Savio he lived in the basement while she lived upstairs. Only when the divorce was granted, Peterson moved out and the two were now living apart.
Sometime after Ms Savio “turned up” dead, Peterson is said to have submitted a handwritten will to his lawyer. In this so-called will, Peterson specifies that in the event of a spousal death, the surviving spouse shall retain all assets. Then it also appointed Peterson’s uncle Mr. Carrol to be the executor of the estate. But the funniest thing about the handwritten will is that it is signed by Kathleen Savio too!
What? She signed a handwritten will authored by Peterson himself after her death? Sure. I’ve got a bridge I want to sell you! The court did assign a public administer to the case, who then argued that this was not in the best interest of the estate and that it also was not in the best interest of the beneficiaries (the children). When Savio “turned up” dead, the Illinois State Police contended that this was suspicious in nature, and was questionable Stacy Peterson stepped up to provide Peterson with his much needed alibi!
Too Many questions, too many suspicious events surround this case and the case of now missing wife Stacy Peterson. In fact, in all ironies of ironies, Stacy Peterson herself contacted the lawyer that represented Kathleen Savio in the near end of 2007 to start her own proceedings against Peterson and then she suddenly disappeared!
Ironic yes, coincidence I think not!

As you all have heard by now Drew Peterson was arrested on the murder of his ex-wife Kathleen Savio!Drew Peterson arrived late yesterday afternoon to appear before the judge in court. As he exited out of the back of the paddy-wagon with hands cuffed in front of him and shackles on his legs, he smiled and bantered with reporters and other cops standing nearby. I must say the color of the burnt-sienna prison issued clothes looked fab! He never looked better. This is a picture that I am sure many have envisioned themselves. Seeing Peterson like that made this writer’s day!
He showed his same old Drew; sarcastic and cocky and sure of himself. He likes his own jokes and enjoys the way he can make a scene happen! As he shuffled into the back door of the Will County Courthouse, he continued stating things like: three square meals a day and look at this spiffy outfit and all the bling! Gosh, I could not help but shake my head as he is the complete classic example of a psychotic moron! It is a shame that this man cannot have one ounce of humility. Who knows he may even win over some friends that way! But acting humble isn’t in the picture for a man who honestly thinks he can control the world. He thinks that his bantering with everyone around him might make people feel sorry for him. I do! I do feel sorry for him, but most definitely not the sorry he has hoped for. I think he is the most pathetic man on two legs. I regard him and his behaviors to that of some type of animal. Some type of beast that would even devour his own children if they go in it’s way!
At this point at least he has not hurt the children physically that we are aware, but mentally they will need counsel for a long time. But, unfortunately he has an affinity for his wives. Hopefully in the process of the impending trial more will come out about the whereabouts of Stacy Peterson. Let’s hope that perhaps something he accidentally said to someone or stated on TV that will tip us off . It would be wonderful for the families to have this come to an end soon, but with Joel Brodsky and Drew Peterson at the helms, prepare for a three-ring circus to come to town! And once the circus comes to town it stays for awhile so that everyone can see the show! I am sure that when the trial date is set , we will get sick of turning on the TV to find the face of Peterson on our screens!
I think it would be great to see him grovel at the thought that he would recieve the penalty of death, or perhaps life in prision! I hope that the prison officials will remind him that once the trial is over and sentencing done-he will assimilate in the general population of the jail. Remember that Peterson was once a cop-even if he is a complete slime ball like the rest-the prison has it’s own type of sentencing! I think Drew Peterson’s stay will be short!

Yesterday evening, at an intersection in the humble town of Bolingbrook, a major domestic abuser was arrested! The Illinois State Police and with the cooperation of Bolingbrook IL Police took Drew Peterson into custody! He is charged with the murder of his third wife Kathleen Savio.
Drew Peterson and his bizarre and not so funny antics, has drawn the ire of many. Peterson played each day with the police, the media, and out in public bars, on radio/news shows and his appearances all over the talk show circuits. His latest aim was to be possible security for a bunny ranch in Reno Nevada! Squirrley Peterson thought he was a celebrity; and the world his stage. Now in custody, Illinois Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow says he will personally prosecute this case himself! The facts of the case(s) warranted this arrest. The original autopsy was ruled an accidental drowning, but the exhumation of Ms Savio prompted a new autopsy and then this was then ruled a homicide! Drew Peterson remained the only suspect in that case. While at the same time Peterson is the lone person of interest in the case of missing fourth wife Stacy Peterson. All this amid his antics proved to be too much for the Savio family and that then prompted the filing of a wrongful death law-suit by the Savio family on behalf of the Peterson children.
Mr. Ernie Raines, father of the recent girlfriend, Christina Raines told the media this morning that Peterson set up his daughter to get married and take care of his children in the event that he would be taken into custody. He felt Peterson did much to trick his daughter into making foolish decisions as he plied her with lies and promises. His four youngest children are now in the home of and will be taken care of by their older brother and Peterson eldest child.
Kudos to the Glasgow team and Illinois finest. Glasgow is quoted saying ” Clearly we’ve had a serious situation with violence against women,… and we want to send a strong message that that is a grave and serious matter. It is not a laughing matter as has been made of this case.”
So all in all the serious abuser/murderer is off the streets. This is just step one in a culmination of what will continue unfortunately to be a three ring circus! Once the trial begins I am sure that it will be covered intently and with great fervor. Let us hope that with movement in this case, that the whereabouts of missing Stacy Peterson will somehow come to light. The two cases of the former wives of Peterson will forever be intertwined. As will be their families. With one family having a current “victory”, the other while sad will rejoice as well in the knowing that this man will be tried, held, and now convicted and if found to be guilty will serve time. So while bittersweet the victory it is one nonetheless. And for all of us who are not part of the family, it is a victory for those who the story has tugged with our heart stings and made us angry and mad; enough to write about it we rejoice as well.
Drew Peterson a celebrity in his own mind, have fun in the little cell you will inhabit. I hope for your sake that you don’t “run into” those with whom you had done wrong! And sent to prison for whatever- prison has its own “law” once inside!
This writer thinks that you will do much to save your own thin skin; who knows what you will do. What about it Drew? What will you do now? Maybe you can make a reality show from inside the prison; let’s ask Mr. Hof !

It’s about the ego. It’s about “what can you do for me?” The endless tour of shows and features in magazines. Drew Peterson claims that he does not get paid for the appearances, nor does he receive any royalties from the appearances and mag. stories. He does receive free paid vacations. After all, the media appears to love Drew Peterson and the newest gal-pal Christina (lunk-head) Raines. Who by this writing has currently moved out of Peterson’s home, again! People Magazine just did their second story on him. Drew says to the effect that It was fun and exciting to meet famous people and he’s so sorry that Kathleen died and that Stacy ran away! What? Although at this writing again, he has not been charged with any crime. And claims that he has no wrongdoing in either case. He is listed as suspect in the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy, he has also been implicated in the death of his Third wife Kathleen Savio.
The TV networks have given him expense accounts for spending in his paid hotel rooms; that’s pretty good! He and his slimy lawyer Joel Brodsky think it is okay that Peterson makes money off the story. Currently Peterson is living off his pension (so he says), his pension totals over $6,000. per month. The media and the so called public interest in the story drives the Peterson to the first page in the papers, and keeps him believing that he is a celebrity! I personally think he is a media whore! And for a person that does not want to be a celebrity or a very private person; it seems that all those appearances on TV and magazines, radio programs, appearances in his favorite bar seem to make this writer believe that Peterson and his current arm jewelry, along with his confidant Joel Brodsky makes him nothing more than the average liar!
He can keep himself in the news for as long as he wants to. To me it keeps him on the mind of those who think he should be behind bars and perhaps as he speaks or is interviewed he will give himself away. But for the families who languish their loss due to his hands;they have to relive each account of their missing or deceased loved one. To them his whirlwind of media tour only makes their lives miserable and that isn’t fair! For shame on you Peterson/Brodsky team……do unto others….you know the rest….

Drew Peterson’s stepbrother came out and went on Good Morning America. He was touting the conversation he had with his slippery stepbrother Drew Peterson. His conversation was interesting, stating that his brother Drew Peterson wanted to know how much he loved him, and could he kill for him! He told his brother no, then Peterson said, could you live with knowing about it? He said, well, that’s what we thought happened to Kathleen. The day beforethat conversation transpired, another one took place. Peterson asked his brother to get a storage unit in Bolingbrook. Morphey refused to do it for him. Thomas Morphey stated that he wished he’d have done it now, because he thinks that Drew Peterson was going to put Stacy Peterson in the storage unit. Stating that at least we’d know where Stacy was. Even though, Thomas Morphey felt like Drew would have been setting him up. But he did refuse. Later, he did help Drew move a large blue barrel that was warm to the touch and heavy. He does not know what Drew Peterson did with the barrel. He also believes that he inadvertently moved Stacy with Drew.(in that blue barrel)
Peterson’s lawyer Brodsky was on TV saying that the morning show was irresponsible because Thomas Morphey is not a credible person. Because he has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, and that he is a bipolar personality. Thomas Morphey stated that he is all those things and that is why Drew Peterson chose him for the dirty work. He feels that Drew thought enough ahead to make it appear that he was the one who did everything. So whether the testimony of Thomas Morphey will be used or not, he wants everyone out there to know that he feels Drew Peterson killed Stacy Peterson period.
Well, Drew Peterson and Mr. Brodsky it is only a matter of time. Good luck erasing the truth from so many minds. Bipolar people fuction in the everyday pace of the world each day, and there are people who drink way too much and go to work everyday, and finally a great deal of drug abusers also hold down jobs, and some still have a wonderful family life. By way of Thomas Morphey, it would be a tough climb to prove that he couldn’t get it together enough to know right from wrong. It appears that he did just that; he told Drew a resounding NO that he would not get the storage unit! Whew, good for him!
Brodsky claimed that Drew Peterson wanted a storage unit to store tires! Hmmmmm….This is the day before Stacy Peterson went missing………Who has that many tires?

Exactly why was Drew Peterson on the TV show Nightline last night? Who knows? It must be too quiet- no one is exactly talking about him this week! The PR firm thought maybe it would be a good idea because Drew Peterson wants to get married again! He was there to explain why he wants to get married again.
But before he talks about her he talks about the fact that no matter where he goes people know him. He was explaining that it was fun and very flattering when young women want to take a picture of him, and with him! He went on to say that sometimes they sit on his lap! According to Drew Peterson many even ask for his autograph! Wow, he’s a star!
When Mr. Martin Bashir asked to the effect: Do you think these women and others are saying ” I want to take a picture with a murderer? His answer to Mr. Bashir was “yes, probably!” What?! So is this an admission? Did anyone else think this?
Mr. Peterson continues to demand a spot in the limelight. He continues to thrive on being the center of attention; anyone’s attention! And what is the best attention that Mr. Peterson can get? Young and gullible, and most likely drunk, women of course!
When asked what his plans are with Christina Raines who is 23 years old. He responded saying that he plans on marrying her in a couple of months. He said of her, that she is very much in love with him. And that she also said to him something to the effect of”you’re so nice to me and treat me so well, you can’t be what they say!” Yikes! He must be sure that a divorce will be final with Stacy Peterson. Through these last couple of months Ms Raines has not been interviewed in the media. She has not appeared on any show with Drew Peterson at all. Her family is still adamant that they do not want her to be involved with him and have stated so.
At this point all I can say is, I feel sorry for Stacy Peterson, and Kathleen Savio and any others that have had their lives touched by Drew Peterson!
I hope that for Christina Raines she isn’t hurt by him in any way, because it might be one day that he will be so flattered by someone else after all he’s admitted to that much!

Drew Peterson Wants New Venue
July 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Well no news was good news…..but alas Peterson’s lawyer Joel Brodsky filed a motion to seek a venue change. Brodsky stated that he feels his client cannot get a fair trial in Will County, IL.
In Brodsky’s motion it stated media coverage was so widespread, and that it was extreme and inflammatory thus causing the tainting of prospective jurors to be impartial!
As if…Mr. Brodsky, I don’t know if you have heard but CNN carried coverage of the Drew Peterson arrest, as well as exhumation of Ms Kathleen Savio’s body! The only way that Brodsky and Peterson could get a jury that has never seen or heard of the character Drew Peterson or that of his case, they would have to have to seek a jury from another planet!
The change of venue was expected. And this is often a strategy used in many high-profile cases, or cases where the suspect is an outlandish character who cannot stay out of the media spotlight, and whom goads the media to continue to put him on the air! Peterson and Brodsky brought even more notoriety to their own case, and I think it would be a laughable situation if the judge says no on his later August 14, 2009 court date!
Good luck Brodsky/Peterson camp Drew Peterson will fairly get what he has coming to him!
