Drew Peterson Arrested!!!

Yesterday evening, at an intersection in the humble town of Bolingbrook, a  major domestic abuser was arrested! The Illinois State Police and with the cooperation of Bolingbrook IL Police took Drew Peterson into custody!  He is charged with the murder of his third wife Kathleen Savio.

Drew Peterson and his bizarre and not so funny antics, has drawn the ire of many. Peterson played each day with the police, the media, and out in public bars, on radio/news shows and his appearances all over the talk show circuits. His latest aim was to be possible security for a bunny ranch in Reno Nevada! Squirrley Peterson thought he was a celebrity; and the world his stage. Now in custody, Illinois Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow says he will personally prosecute this case himself! The facts of the case(s) warranted this arrest.  The original autopsy was ruled an accidental drowning, but the exhumation of Ms Savio prompted a new autopsy and then this was  then ruled a homicide! Drew Peterson remained the only suspect in that case. While at the same time Peterson is the lone person of interest in the case of missing fourth wife Stacy Peterson. All this amid his antics proved to be too much for the Savio family and that then prompted the filing of a wrongful death law-suit by the Savio family on behalf of the Peterson children.

Mr. Ernie Raines, father of the recent girlfriend, Christina Raines told the media this morning that Peterson set up his daughter to get married and take care of his children in the event that he would be taken into custody. He felt Peterson did much to trick his daughter into making foolish decisions as he plied her with lies and promises. His four youngest children are now in the home of and will be taken care of by their older brother and Peterson eldest child.

Kudos to the Glasgow team and Illinois finest. Glasgow is quoted saying ” Clearly we’ve had a serious situation with violence against women,… and we want to send a strong message that that is a grave and serious matter. It is not a laughing matter as has been made of this case.”

So all in all the serious abuser/murderer is off the streets. This is just step one  in a culmination of what will continue unfortunately to be a three ring circus! Once the trial begins I am sure that it will be covered intently and with great fervor. Let us hope that with movement in this case, that the whereabouts of missing Stacy Peterson will somehow come to light. The two cases of the former wives of Peterson will forever be intertwined. As will be their families. With one family having a current “victory”, the other while sad will rejoice as well in the knowing that this man will be tried, held, and now convicted and if found to be guilty will serve time. So while bittersweet the victory it is one nonetheless.  And for all of us who are not part of the family, it is a victory for those who the story has tugged with our heart stings and made us angry and mad; enough to write about it we rejoice as well.

Drew Peterson a celebrity in his own mind, have fun in the little cell you will inhabit. I hope for your sake that you don’t “run into” those with whom you had done wrong! And sent to prison for whatever- prison has its own “law” once inside!

This writer thinks that you will do much to save your own thin skin; who knows what you will do. What about it Drew? What will you do now? Maybe you can make a reality show from inside the prison; let’s ask Mr. Hof !

Drew and his attorney said they were expecting that months ago. It will be a different story to get a conviction on that case though.

Going to be tough when the results from the first find were inconclusive.

  4. michellefrommadison-The second autopsy revealed things that should’ve been caught in 1st autopsy! Too obvious that someone was “covering” for him! Back then I understand things may have been a bit off-kilter (if you know what I mean). I think it is a slam-dunk this time, way too much more evi along w/peterson on tapes made by friend wearing wire& so much more that we don’t know I understand.

I agree with you that it does appear to be a “slam-dunk” this time for the defense team, if one knows how to interpret the facts of this case.

  6. michellefrommadison-please tell me that you are not leaning Peterson’s way? He has had his time on earth to be treated fair and squarely. I am told he not only abused women-he also abused his badge as well!

No, I never implied I was leaning towards Peterson, just pointing out that the case against him appears quite weak and the negative assertions many have against Peterson are based upon biased reporting and not facts.

  8. michellefrommadison-did you not know that police have solid documented 17 times calls to the home for domestic violence disputes? Did you know he abused police rules & regs.? to commission stalking of her? Did you know that witnesses have 1st hand knowledge of actual verbal and physical abuse? Did you know this man has a pattern of abuse previous and after Ms Savio? Michelle this is his M.O. he takes advantage of everyone and everything. Evidence is evidence. I hope that he is in there to stay!

His “M.O.” as you claim appears to be only an assertion gleamed from watching television and not by reviewing the actual facts of the case. Basically, none of the aforementioned info is relevant to a murder charge where the first autopsy revealed none of the disclosed information, how convenient, yet will prove to be the biggest obstacle in obtaining a conviction on all counts as Peterson is charged. And, if Peterson is not convicted on every single charge and allegation by the prosecution, public notification of all the prosecutor’s team and addresses need to be made public for future reference for upcoming lawsuits. And, there is no evidence as you claim that proves Drew takes advantage of everyone and everything. Sounds more like media-hype and not factual court evidence.

  10. michellefrommadison-What in tarnation are you talking about? There are many police reports of his pattern of abuse! (esp. those on Kathleen Savio!) this is evidence girl!
You tell me your are not leaning -but that is all you do on each and every case that is high profile. Do you have a relative imprisoned? Have you been wrongly acused of something? or a relative? I sure hope not and if you have or know someone who has been; I apologize. But sometimes michellefrommadison they do get the right people and on another note they can prove through police records that he abused his police powers against several women including Ms Savio and women whom are not mentioned. Mr. Peterson is a classic example of an abuser.
You must be crazy to think him innocent! (shakes my head)

Mary, I was speaking about the Drew Peterson case. The “abuse” is the media-hype that you obviously fell for. Don’t worry, many people fall into that as with the case against Casey Anthony too. Spousal abuse does not indicate, or is a precipitator to, murder; at least not in a court of Law here in the United States. It can only be used as extenuating-circumstances that will be not withstand an Appellate review. The part you are missing is that the first body-dig examination resulted in no signs of foul-play, then only when they cannot pin squat on Drew, miraculously they re-dig up the remains and Wha-La, now they find something because none of the rest of their case can’t hold water. That is what the defense has already indicated as part of the defense-strategy, and to people well-educated in both Law and Psychology, looks like a conviction of first-degree murder is likely to be unobtainable. Unfortunately for this case, but the facts usually win out in Court. And, I do not have any relative in prison as you speculated. I do, however, often take the side of a victim’s advocate, both legally, professionally, and personally. I have also never be accused, correctly or incorrectly, of violating the Law, and neither is true regarding any relative. I simply deal with the facts of issues, and I separate out the emotional-side that you appear to be unable to do. But, that is fine for you to remain that way, many people feel the same. I just prefer to be on the other side of the tracks as I am more comfortable being correct. Your speculation that Drew is a confirmed abuser only proves my points about unqualified and uneducated people being manipulated by watching television making psychological-diagnosis’ without even understanding the terms they prescribe, and they believe them to be facts, which they are not. When the case goes to trial, you will see just how wrong you are. But, luckily, it’s not a crime to remain uninformed. Last thing Mary, I never said Drew was innocent as you claim. I do, however, believe a conviction of first-degree murder against Drew will be unobtainable, if one deals with the facts of the case.

  12. michellefrommadison-Wow! (still shaking my head) The facts are all the combined evidence together-not just one-hand picked piece over another. His history, his behavior, his patterns also indicate the outcome. The culmination of everything put together makes the case. I think, as I live in the county of the acused, I happen to know that when Ms Savio became deceased, this was a very small farming community, and quite simply the autopsy done and the ruling henceforth was not done correctly, although they are not going to press charges against the previous person whom did that autopsy, they think he/she just missed the proper outcome based on the brusing evidence, and types of defensive bruising/scrapes present.
I hope that you will visit others sites that are writing on Peterson as a subject, and P.S. hit a few domestic violence sites too- see if you might just be able to realize thatshown patterned behavior in 95% of cases the women/wives turned up dead!

Jusr have someone help you to re-read what I already posted Mary, and take it a step at a time to try to understand where you are wrong still. A degreed-helper might be your best approach. And, you are welcome for having me point that out to you. No charge. 🙂

  14. michellefrommadison- (still shaking my head) It’s cute how you think you have counseled me and my readers. For now my dear opposition, we shall leave things where they stand, I hope that you will continue to tune in, but we will agree to disagree. Mr. Peterson is not a nice person, and this writer wrote because there are not one but two incidences where two females mysteriously met their demise. And, as you have stated before, someone needs to go to bat for the under-dog! Enough! Enough!

Funny you should mention that again, but by simply shaking your head when you hear facts you cannot interpret or understand still does not change the facts, no matter how much you shake your head and deny proven and documented facts that appear to just go right over your head, imo. Denial is a rudimentary disability for many that often either do not know how to go about obtaining a thorough search of the facts they don’t yet understand, or it is commonly just the lack of motivation to put forth the effort to confirm the facts that many others already know and understand. Whether or not Peterson is a nice person or not, again, has zero to do with the charge and/or possible conviction(s) against him. It does, however, only signify your position is likely to be from watching television and listening to the radio, and not actually investigating the facts of the case. Still, we can agree to disagree, but I’ll stay on the side of the tracks being correct, thank you. 🙂
