Chicago Blackhawks-Cold Steel on Ice!

I am commenting on the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Chicago Black hawks today, because I as with many in the Chicago land area who follow ice hockey, are jazzed!

Hawks put down the Vancouver Canucks in a series win of 4-2! This hasn’t happened around these parts since well what seems like forever. And in the last game with the Canucks,  Patrick Kane put us all on the high side by scoring his first ever hat trick!  This made for a pleasing finish to a great series. And now the Canucks can go home and watch us on TV! The Canucks weren’t an easy opponent; with the Sedin cousins and ace goalie Luongo and a few others  the Canucks never ever gave in. Every time the Hawks would score, Canucks would score. They always fought back, but so did the Hawks! Never ever giving up, they skated fast, hit hard and kept it hot in Luongo’s blue box with plenty of shots on goal. The Hawks made some mistakes, but always coming back to fundamental hockey and staying with the fast puck.

So now tonight the Anaheim Ducks will face off with Detriot Red Wings and the Blackhawks will watch and wait. And so will the fans; each of these teams has good, hot skaters and each team is on fire. So bring it on! Hawks fans are ready!  Chicago loves its teams. This year Hawks fans set a record with over 1,000,000 fans in attendance! This is also a franchise record! So all of us cannot be wrong that we feel the pull of the Stanley Cup coming to Chicago and possibly staying and creating another Chicago dynasty!  With the team being the youngsters in the league we have a good chance!

Good Luck Black hawk hockey fans! Good Luck Black hawk players! Your fans are out here and are chomping at the bit to bring Stanley home and claim title to being the NHL’s best and COLD STEEL ON ICE !

Just my thoughts, just my opinions, and always in a conversationalTone.

But, the cold steel got beat tonight. Going to be an intersting playoff series.

  2. michellefrommadison- hey great that you like blackhawks or just hockey! I’m a fan from way back! They lost tonight, but lots of hockey is left-no panic just yet! It has been a really great series thus far, and we continue to see great hockey being played. Blackhawks haven’t been this far since I don’t know when and being 1 of only 4 teams left is so great! Go hawks!

I LOVE the Blackhawks too, but the RedWings are my true team. Chelios had quite a history with Chicago and he’s still doing well with Detroit now-a-days. Did you hear that story of an employee of his restaurant being shot and killed at his place Cheli’s-Chili? I just went to a game and saw him, he’s incredible. Anyways, this will be a great playoff series and I hope to catch every game. 🙂

  4. Yes love the Chelios here too! Big fan of the ole guy! Anyway it will be great, hawks are playing the #1 team, and the wings will be hard to beat afterall they are not the defending champs for nothing! I did not hear about that shooting-that’s awful, hope the catch the shooter. I hope I won’t miss a game either! Until Tuesday then……

Yes, Tuesday the 19th, then the 27th, then June 1st. That should wrap it all up then, huh? Just kidding. 🙂

  6. michellefrommadison- I’ll be tuning in and so will all of Chicago, the best to you and your boys, but I am pulling for the Hawks all the way for the rest of the series.
