Casey Anthony It is Time!

Well, we have long awaited the trial~we as a collective group will have many feelings going forward. We all will be compelled to watch, blog and conversate with deep opinion. So let’s do…but lets really listen-For Caylee-

So put on your seatbelts the long ride is about to begin where the lawyers will take us on roads well worn and traveled and then some new roads will be merely dusty trails that they will blaze! Good Luck and the posts about to begin!  Drew Peterson can’t be too far behind!

Poor Indigent Casey

Well this past Friday, Judge Strickland has officially declared Casey Anthony indigent for costs. This simply means she does not have the money to pay for her attorneys. Casey could now be appointed a public defender, but she has a team of high priced “experts” in position, and the two lead attorneys state that they will stay on this case. They state that they will continue to do this case pro-bono.

According to Jose Baez and Andrea Lyon  they have been pro-bono this whole time, and that only the expenses of Andrea Lyon have incurred. $11,954.00 have already been paid out that the public and the court is knowledgeable of. We are aware that $90,00.00 has been issued to Baez alone.

There is quite a bit of legal pandering and ploys surrounding this case. The ditching of monies and the transferring of monies is a known way to appear “indigent” or broke. Perhaps it comes at this time another reason that Cindy and George Anthony have let their home go into foreclosure. (Perhaps the pair should not have taken that cruise and paid bills instead!). ABC News and 48 Hours News show have paid fees for family photos of the Anthony’s to the tune of $200,000.00 ! Some obtained funds of $60,000.00 from Larry Garrison and some monies totaling of $100,000.00 of fees paid from unknown sources; that’s a lot of money and where did the rest go?

Hopefully we will not hear about the movie and book deals that were alledged at one time to be impending~it would be a horrendous attack of justice if the state of Florida pays to have this trial only to lose out to TV and publishing houses funneling the money (which I assume would be somewhat illegal), It is in this writer’s opinion that if one can pay as much lawyer fees that have already been paid for, chances are she may not be quite indigent!

On a small other note~ the jail is currently looking into Casey Anthony’s possible violation of jail rules & regulations. There is allegedly some 258 pages of written correspondence between Casey and another inmate housed in the protective custody area of the jail. This violates all rules and poses a security risk.

Will update as more information is known.

CMA Back To Court Today!

Casey Anthony, flanked by Jose Baez and Linda K.Baden on either side of her, appeared uneasy. The lawyers discuss today forensics and the suicide letter. Judge found that the suicide note  should not be released to the public as the judge felt it was personal in nature. The media however, can come in after the fact and request it be released to the public since they were not present in the court room today.

It looks that the rest of the requested information by Baez is a smoke screen. Baez is all about the drama. There is no grounds for prosecutorial misconduct. At this point, the evidence has been processed and all of the information has been turned over. Basically this is about  Baez trying to seek out a number of motions that are wasting the courts’ time. He’s attacking protocol and other simple items like notes for example, that he would not be privy too, or they don’t even exist.

The forensics and the FBI team were very precise in their examinations and investigations in this case. The Bozo Baez team would like to say that test results including things like “maggots” in Casey’s car resulted from just garbage. They most likely will introduce this kind of info. into court when the trial actually begins.

So overall, nothing new coming up or introduced. Baez despirately seeking an angle in which to run. Baez team is trying to construct a defense for his client. Nothing does speak louder to most of the potential jurors than the fact that Casey did not report her child missing for over one month. That resonates with me and I am sure it will with others as well.

Good Luck C M A and your team; counting down until the start of the trial for murder 1.

Movements in Casey Anthony Case!

On Thursday the judge ordered that Casey Anthony must appear in all the court proceedings that have to do with her case! So Friday morning she must be sitting in court for the 8:30 am call. The judge told the courtroom that “force” will be used on her if that is necessary! She will be whisked away, by herself by way of blacked out windowed Suburban SUV.

Highlight of the case include:

Baez has filed a complaint to have prosecutors removed from the case! (which is extremely ridiculous)

Random people are depositing money in Casey Anthonys’ account so that she can buy things from the commissary.

The $5000.00 dollars was paid out to Roy Kronk by Mark Nejame (former family lawyer for George and Cindy Anthony) The other money that was put up for the safe return of Caylee went back to its donor and was never redeemed.

Other movements in court for Casey Anthony case were that Linda K. Baden was seated at the lawyers table, dressed in a gray suit  coat and navy blue pants Casey  was shackled at the feet and then again at the waist and she sat between Baden and Baez. She smiled at times with them. With her hair in a bun, looking matronly trying to get the… aw sympathy vote……trying hard to humanize the ice princess, which did not work on me!

Baez motions filed to inspect crime scene was okayed. Baez team to get the prosecution removed was denied as was the motion for fingerprints from Equusearch was denied.

No family members came to court for Casey. George did not get released for Halifax Hospital, and no one knows about Lee or Cindy. This feels like this could be a significant thing, perhaps the turning of the tide.

Casey Anthony Court Update

Well, the ice princess just exited the courtroom!  Today Casey Anthony was ordered into the courtroom to face the judge to swear that she had waived her right to appear  before the court.

While Baez asked for a long list of motions, all in relation to the discovery of evidence held in the Casey Anthony case. There is a mountain of evidence in this case and Florida has a liberal discovery law. The 3.220 law sets forth that anything that is considered related to discovery can be obtained. The judge gave Baez what he asked for with stipulations on all things.  With the subject relating to Photos, x-rays, and other in relation to Caylee Anthony’s remains and the prosecution’s  fear of the copying, reproduction, and profit off of these items, and the chain of custody relating to them.  They all agreed to have a  web server to allow for the forensics to be viewed for out of town defense experts. I think that this is genre for hackers to invade and it may not be as secure as possible.

Now to Casey, as she sat in her chair she appeared to be nervous, as she sat motionless. Her eyes were darting around, and she was blinking constantly. At times she took deep inhalations, and gulped and licked her lips occasionally. She smiled when prosecutor made small joke. She did go on record in front of Judge Strickland to say she had waived her rights.  She did not stand as she held up her right hand to swear that she waived her rights to appear.  Finally at the end of the set of motions that Baez brought, she stood and was smiling to Jose Baez as she was lead away and out of the courtroom.  Overall, she looked well,as well in fact as when she went into prison.  I think that she looked extremely surprised when she was summoned today. I really think that she and her counsel have thought that they can get away with some things, due to the fact that this is such a high profile case.

I hope in the future whenever there is the trial, that Casey will again be surprised as the final verdict is read! I will hope that when that happens that she will show some true emotion!
